Age 21
Every since Tiara picked up a crayon, she has had a passion for the industry of fashion. At the tender age of 12, she completed her very own and first portfolio. She constantly drew everywhere and all the time; from the time she woke up in the morning to the bus ride home, and until bedtime. Tiara was accepted into the prestigious school, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), which helped her to hone her fashion design skills. It also inspired her to own her own clothing line, open her very own store, and one day turn her company into an international empire. Tiara has persevered and worked hard to improve her design skills and looks forward to learning more of the business side of the fashion industry. These are the reasons she joined the El Camino College Youth Entrepreneurial Program's 2008 Summer Buzz on Biz Academy. Tiara has been working diligently the last three years to earn her Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design. She has also assisted other to coordinate wardrobe in fashion shows, has done personal styling, and is still driven to learn more. Tiara anticipates coming out of the Academy with a new and better understanding and knowledge about the business world. She believes in growing as an individual as well as a businesswoman. Tiara feels the program will equip her with skills to successfully take on the world of fashion and other industries. It will provide direction and enable her to be a strong mentor in her endeavors in the fashion industry. Tiara is always expressing to her friends that they should expand their minds, and now it is time for her to expand hers. She strongly believes the Youth Entrepreneurial Program will do that for her. |
