Enrolling in the YEP program is another step closer to me building a great company with a socially aware
agenda in mind. My vision is to strategically partner with brilliant people especially young people who are
motivated to by the possibilities we can achieve together. I am certain the YEP program will allow me to gain
greater insight on the applications of tax and accounting laws and procedures. It is my hope that through
the YEP program, I will better equipped to apply the fundamentals of business and the legal structure to
operate effectively. The professionals who will engage our ideas and share with us many experiences they
have acquired are more valuable then an expensive formal business program can provide. Often
entrepreneurs fail due to the lack of mentorship from successful business leaders. I am certain the YEP
program and the curriculum that has been established will catapult participants into a broad formula for
success. Leaving no territory unchartered, the YEP program has many components that will potentially
benefit many young urban entrepreneurs and empower our goals practically.
Giving an entire generation hope that all there is no limit to the possibilities, the YEP program is well on its
way to being more then a seasonal program but more importantly a vital step in urban entrepreneurship. I
hope that through the many workshops, field trips, and guest speakers we will have a chance to meet with
future participants and share our experiences and how much of an impact YEP is. Many young people in
underserved communities are never given the opportunity to explore anything other then complacency and
mediocrity. YEP along with many of its partners are giving young people a chance to be heard. Often young
people are shut out of the process and told not to pursue their natural born talents. So many young people
are leaders with innovative solutions to many of the worlds social problems. Through the YEP program I hope
to impact the greedy way capitalistic businesses are run and innovate a more inclusive way to business
leadership.
