Service Entrepreneur
John joined the Youth Entrepreneurial Program because he wants to be
mentored as well as mentor others. From what he learned during the
orientation, he feels the program is very enlightening. Additionally, he
feels the program also provides children and young adults the chance to
achieve their dreams.
Since a child, John has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to
be his own boss. With this program, John believe it will present tools and
guidance he needs to achieve his goals. John says, "the program will help
me develop my business plan, open new doors, and provide opportunities for
business ownership. I have always been a lifetime learner and strive to
improve myself in every aspect of my life."
John is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University (APU), with a degree in
Business Administration which has provided him a foundation as a
businessman and entrepreneur. While attending APU, John learned
different marketing strategies, cost analysis approaches, the strategic
management process, etc. He has worked for dot.com as a business
review specialist and had the chance to travel to different markets on the
west coast and conducted market analysis. His job entailed looking for
partner accounts and finding various methods to increase business for
those partners. John plans to bring what he has learned in the classroom
as well as recent work and field experience in to the 2008 Summer Buzz on
Biz Academy.
John expects to have his business running by year end and have a
completed business plan by the end of the program. He looks forward to
learning the art of networking because his knows that it is a very vital
part of the business world. He believes this program is an excellent
opportunity for him and the sky is the limit.
