Undetermined Entrepreneur

Edgar is a recent graduate of Gardena High School (Class of 2008) and
feels the school has left him with different choices and opportunities.  One
of his major options is business, which he wants to explore.  Edgar also has
the passion to become a Fire Fighter and feels that having a Chief of Police
(Chief Hampton Cantrell) as a mentor will provide him with some insight into
having a career as a fire fighter.

Networking is another reason Edgar decided to join the program because he
says one never knows who he/she will meet in the future.  He wants to gain
information on the various business industries options available through the
2008 Summer Buzz on Biz Academy.

Edgar describes himself as being determined and he strives for many goals
and having his own business is one of them.  He says, "The Youth
Entrepreneurial Program can further push his goals."  He feels is a very
responsible person and committed to things he invests in.  He is a quick
study and adapting to different situations is one of his areas of strength.  

Edgar believes the 2008 Summer Buzz on Biz Academy will equip him with
life skills as well as business acumen, and he is positive he will gain knowledge
that he will be able to apply later in life.  The skills he acquires for
starting his own business will be valuable in the real world and assist him
with becoming an independent entrepreneur such as, living on his own; paying
his bills, etc.

Edgar looks forward to seeing what the Youth Entrepreneur Program is going
to teach him and everyone attending the Academy.  He also looks forward
to having his own business one day!
