Doniesha (Donnie) is an existing business owner and possesses strong work ethic, and really needs
assistance in getting her business off the ground. She plans to contribute by assisting the facilitators in
any way she can, and plans to assist younger participants of the 2008 Summer Buzz on Biz Academy by
being an excellent example.
Donnie feels she can be an example by demonstrating promptness and a positive attitude toward each
lesson. She also plans to contribute to developing the first Musical Anthem for the Academy and is
interested in a number of other activities such as poetry and creative writing, acting, cooking, and
dance. She will use her talents in any way that may be needed throughout the duration of the
Academy. Donnie looks forward to becoming a mentor for next year's Academy and will ensure that
others are enrolled in the process and are enjoying themselves as much as she plans to.
Donnie's anticipated expectations and outcomes are to learn how to run a successful business and wants
to learn about web design. She knows how important it is for a business to have an attractive website in
order to generate customers. She will like to learn about graphic design so that she can finish her
company's logo and plans to register her logo as a trademark.
Donnie wants to learn how to set up a pay-pal account so that her customers can purchase her products
online. She would also like to gain an understanding for setting up shipping and handling fees for her
products. Another goal of hers is to develop a budget she can manage and price her products so that
she will make a profit.
Lastly, Donnie would like to gain access to labeling resources to establish a professional packaging look for
her products and learn how to mass produce her products as well as ensure they have an extended shelf
life.
